VirIT eXplorer Lite

Harmful programs come in many shapes and sizes. Without adequate protection, your system can be infected with anything, from malware to spyware. VirIT eXplorer Lite's scan engine is capable of detecting a wide range of viruses and malware, including many unknown viruses which have not yet been analyzed by the AntiMalware Research Center (C.R.A.M.). What's more, the software can scan your files quite fast and it provides real time protection against intrusions.

Besides VirIT eXplorer Lite, you can also find VirIT eXplorer Pro, which comes with an additional firewall for your system. The Lite version is free, but it will stay fully functional for 60 days, after which you will be able to use only its detection and automatic update features. Both versions work on any Windows platform, from Windows 95 to Windows 7.

The software allows you to decide what data to scan. If you suspect that certain files are infected, you may scan only their parent folders and save valuable time. Your entire folders structure is displayed on the left side of the user interface, just like in Windows Explorer. You only have to select a folder and click a button, located above the tree structure, to start scanning. The results are displayed on the right side of the window. Depending on its findings, VirIT eXplorer Lite will tell you how many registry keys are infected, the total number of scanned, infected or suspected files, and the number of cleaned files and registry keys.

VirIT eXplorer Lite's capabilities do not stop at scanning your files. Besides scheduling automatic scans, you can also manage active processes and devices, restore the infected files, scan alternate data streams and more. If you come across unknown viruses, you can use the program's monitor feature to send the suspicious files to C.R.A.M. and receive updates to solve your issues.
